CENTRAL CHEMICAL LABORATORYCentral Chemical Laboratory is one of the biggest laboratories in Poland. It holds the certificate of the Polish Centre for Accreditation no AB 283. The accreditation scope involves determination of about 400 properties in liquid and solid samples. Laboratory applies modern analytical techniques (ICP-MS, ICP-OES, WD-XRD, XRD, FAAS, TMA, HPLC, FTIR, SPF, GC) and uses professional analytical instruments of the world leading manufacturers. Every year over 200 000 determinations are carried out in the laboratory.MICRO-AREA ANALYSIS LABORATORYThe laboratory is equipped with CAMECA SX 100 electron microprobe – one of the most innovative probes in the world. Precise determination of trace elements within micro-areas has many applications in various studies, among others, in mineralogical and petrographical investigations, environmental protection studies, microbiology, and archaeology.
GEOPHYSICAL LABORATORYThe laboratory undertakes a wide spectrum of analyses in paleomagnetism and environmental magnetism. The laboratory is equipped in, among other, the JR-6 spinner magnetometer and MS2 unit, produced by Bartington – used for magnetic susceptibility of soils and rocks measurements, both in laboratory and in situ.
