Detailed geochemical maps are performed in the scale 1: 25 000. They constitute further step of the geochemical mapping, managed by Polish Geological Institute since 1989.
Geochemical atlases - regional or agglomerations, enable general evaluation of the surface environment in Poland, establishing the regional character and extent of discovered anomalies or selecting areas for detailed studies to determine environmental pollution. Such selected areas are subjects of the detailed geochemical mapping.
Detailed Geochemical Map is an atlas which contains textual part in English and polish languages, including tables, description of measurement methodology, data concerning soils, geological background, sources of the environmental pollution, information concerning data bases and construction of geochemical maps and general results.
