Thematic geochemical atlases performed in the scales 1 : 200 000 to 1: 2 000 000 present cartographic picture of global mineralization and chemical composition of groundwater of Poland or selected geological units (hydrogeochemical atlases). The other geochemical atlases present geochemistry of mineral products.
Geochemical mapping was made using analyses of samples taken from boreholes. Thematic geochemical atlases contain the textual part including tables, description of analytical methods, geological background, information concerning data bases and construction of geochemical maps and general results.
The following Thematic Geochemical Atlases were edited:
- Hydrogeochemical Atlas of Poland
- Geochemical Atlas of Coal Deposits, Upper Silesian Coal Basin
- Hydrogeochemical Atlas of the Middle Sudetes Cretaceous Basin and Nysa Graben
