We want to invite you to the 9th Meeting of the Mineralogical Society of Poland (PTMin) and 28th Meeting of the Petrology Group of the PTMin, which will take place from 19th to 22nd October 2023 in the Central Sudetic Ophiolite in Ho tel Dębowy Biowelness & SPA (hoteldebowy.pl) in the park and palace com plex of Bielawa near Wrocław, Poland.

This meeting will be organized by the Wrocław Research Centre of ING PAN in cooperation with oth er ING PAN research centers, UAM Poznań, PIG-PIB, and Wrocław University. A s always, the organizing committee guarantees a high scientific level, beau tiful scenery, fruitful discussions, insight into modern analytical techniq ues provided by our sponsors, and fascinating outcrops during the half-day geological field trip on Sunday, which will include all parts of the ophiol ite with mantle, crust-mantle transition, gabbro, dikes, basalts, and ocean ic sediments in six outcrops on three sites.

The scope of the 28th Me eting of the Petrology Group will cover a vast spectrum of topics related t o mineralogy, petrology and ore geology. We plan to start with our main top ic: ‘Oceanic lithosphere: rocks, minerals, and critical resources’ on Frida y, and move to the continental lithosphere, planetary geology, and other to pics on Saturday. We invite PTMin members and all interested researchers to participate in our meeting! We also expect six distinguished keynote speak ers from Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Italy, and Spain.

PTMin 2023 conference will be held at the Hotel Dębowy Biowellness & SPA in Bielawa, Lower Silesian Voivo deship, beautifully located at the foot of the Owl Mountains (Góry Sowie), close to the Central Sudetic Ophiolite.
