 of the Jurassica XV geological conference, which will take place on 19‒22 S
 eptember 2023 in the historical city of Iłża in central Poland.\n\n\nThe co
 nference is organized after the last, successful Jurassica XIV meeting, whi
 ch was held in Bratislava (Slovakia) and after a long break caused by the C
 ovid-19 pandemic.\n\n\nThe Jurassica XV conference is open to all researche
 rs and people interested in stratigraphy, sedimentology, geochemistry, tect
 onics and palaeomagnetism of Jurassic rocks, palaeontology of Jurassic foss
 ils and Jurassic geoturism. It is designated to exchange novel ideas among 
 domestic and foreign participants and to present new geological discoveries
  and results of studies on Jurassic deposits, which also include Triassic/J
 urassic and Jurassic/Cretaceous boundary strata.\n\n\nThe Jurassica XV conf
 erence is organised in Iłża in the NE margin of the Holy Cross Mountains. I
 n this area, outcrops of marine, fossil-rich Upper Jurassic rocks, which we
 re deposited in a shallow epicontinental sea, both in the environment of th
 e shallow water carbonate platform and in more calm, offshore marine settin
 gs can be observed.\n\n\nDue to significant progress in understanding of th
 e stratigraphy, sedimentology and regional context and correlation of the s
 tudied rocks with those from the NW margin of the Holy Cross Mountains we c
 an deliver you detailed information about the lithostratigraphy of the sect
 ions presented during field trips as well as their biostratigraphical, sequ
 ence stratigraphical and geochemical frameworks.\n\n\n\n\nThe conference is

 ns, guided by B. Błażejowski, G. Niedźwiedzki, A. Wierzbowski, H. Wierzbows
 ki and Ł. Weryński, include:\n\n - 21.09 ‒ Upper Jurassic marine deposits o
 f the NE margin of the Holy Cross Mountains of central Poland. The tour inc
 ludes Oxfordian‒Lower Kimmeridgian shallow water carbonate deposits of Bałt
 ów, Błaziny, Iłża (at the ruins of the Iłża castle) and Wierzbica as well a
 s deeper offshore Upper Kimmeridgian deposits of Krzyżanowice. All the loca
 lities are rich in fossils including bivalves, gastropods and corals.\n - 2
 2.09 ‒ Jurassic terrestrial and marine deposits of the NW margin of the Hol
 y Cross Mountains. The tour includes a Hettangian locality with dinosaur fo
 ot tracks in the Borkowice site (near Przysucha) and the mid-Tithonian Owad
 ów-Brzezinki conservation Lagerstätte (near Sławno), which is famous for ex
 ceptionally preserved fossils of horseshoe crabs, crustaceans, marine repti
 les, terrestrial insects and ammonites. This palaeontological site has rece
 ntly yielded key micro- and macrofossil data for correlations between the T
 ethyan Tithonian and both the “Volgian” and the “Portlandian” biostratigrap
