  30. Kraków is very close to Oxfordian limestone outcrops of the Kraków-Czę
 stochowa Jura Upland, which are relatively rich in decapods – mainly crabs 
 – connected with Late Jurassic sponge buildups of the peri-Tethyan epiconti
 nental sea. Moreover, Kraków is one of the most picturesque old town of the
  southern Poland, full of historical monuments, museums and galleries.\n\n\

 l be allocated 20 minutes for their presentation including the discussion. 
 Facilities in the lecture room will include 2 multimedia projectors. If you
  prepare PowerPoint presentation, please prepare, two copies of it – both i
 n pendrive and CD plate, which we will be used in our local computer, for b
 etter guarantee to work smoothly. The available space for posters is 1.5 m 
 high x 1 m wide. The poster display will take place close to the lecture ro
 om (or inside in it) and will be open during whole scientific session.\n\n\
 n\n\n\nLanguage\n\n\nEnglish will be the official language of the Symposium
 .\n\n\n\n\n\nAbstract volume and publication\n\n\nThe enlarged abstracts [m
 ax. 2 standard pages including tables, figures and references; in "doc" fil
 es only; with name(s) of the Author(s) with their affiliation(s), mailing a
 nd e-mail address(es)] will be published in a Symposium volume published by
  the Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute. Both oral a
 nd poster presentations will qualify for inclusion. All paying participants
  will receive this volume.\nThe publication of the Symposium proceedings is
  planned in the form of a special volume of one of the international peer-r
 eviewed Polish geological journals (e.g. Geological Quarterly, Acta Palaeon
 tologica Polonica). The choose of journals depends on your activity and rea
 dy papers. The manuscripts are accepted in English. Please, use simple text
  (1.5 lined, 12 points font size) in MS Word, with indicated position of ta
 bles (in MS Excel format) and pictures (*.TIF or *.JPG format). Deliver you
 r text(s) by e-mail or CD.\n\n\nDeadline of the manuscripts – June 25th, 20

 n\n\n \n\n\nField trip\n\n\nFirst day of the field trip (June 26th) wi
 ll focus to Callovian and especially Oxfordian limestones of the Kraków-Czę
 stochowa Jura Upland, which are relatively rich in decapods – mainly crabs 
 – connected with Late Jurassic sponge buildups of the peri-Tethyan epiconti
 nental sea.\n\n\nSecond day of the field trip (June 27th) will be related t
 o the latest Jurassic/earliest Cretaceous so-called Štramberk-type coral-be
 aring limestones of the Outer Flysch Carpathians (Štramberk, Czech Republic
 ), which occur now as huge olistoliths within Late Cretaceous flysch deposi
 ts. We will visit famous Kotouč quarry where decapod crustaceans are someti
 mes abundant.\n\n\nNotice: your way home – you can choose one of two option
 s:\n\n - you can come back to Kraków and spend there last night before your
  departure (distance between Štramberk and Kraków is about 2.5-3.0 hours by
  bus, arrival time in Kraków: 7-8 pm of June 27th) or\n - you can finish th
 e field trip in Ostrava (about 40 km from Štramberk – by our bus it takes a
 bout 1 h, arrival time in Ostrava: 5-6 pm of June 27th) and then fly home f
 rom Ostrava airport of June 27th or 28th.\n\nIf you choose the 2nd option (
 and especially when you have flight in June 28th from Ostrava), please, let

 \n\nTravel\n\n\nKraków can be reached by plane, train and/or bus; from Wars
