DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nImportance of shale gas as a bridge energ
 y carrier\n\n\nThe current growth in production of natural gas from unconve
 ntional resources has significantly influenced the economies of primarily t
 wo countries: The United States and Canada. It is expected that this trend 
 will continue along with start of production of shale gas in other parts of
  the world, including Europe.\n\n\n\nAn increase in natural gas production 
 in our region would be highly advantageous due to reduction of dependence o
 n import and a drop in the prices of energy. Additionally the increase woul
 d facilitate de-carbonification of the energy sector which is still mainly 
 based on coal in some countries.\n\n\n \n\n\nPlans of transition from 
 fossil fuels to a renewable energy supply remain complicated. Therefore, na
 tural gas from unconventional resources may turn out to be the most promisi
 ng bridge energy carrier until fossil fuels are replaced by energy sources 
 of a new type.\n\n\n \n\n\nThis Conference will shed some new light on
  chances for the safe and sustainable use of shale gas as well as its futur
 e role in the forecasted energy budget of individual countries, especially
