We would like to invite you to the 29th Meeting of the Petrology Group of the Mineralogical Society of Poland.

Originally these meetings have been initiated, organized, continued and scientifically supported by Jacek Puziewicz and his team (University of Wrocław). Later on, other teams joined and the conference is rotating between petrological centres in Poland.

This year, as in 2016, it will be organized by the team from Kraków together with colleagues from Warsaw and Bratislava.

As always, the organizing committee guarantees a high scientific level, beautiful scenery, fruitful discussions, and fascinating rocks during the field trip.

The leading theme of the 29th Meeting of the Petrology Group will be "Orogenic processes in the Western Carpathians and related mountain belts". However, other thematic and open sessions touching upon timely scientific problems related to mineralogy, petrology and geochemistry are planned.

All researchers and students interested in participation in our meeting are very welcome!
