Research interests:

I focus on mechanical models of geological processes in the field of structural geology, geodynamics, and petrology. I am particularly interested in the effects of mechanical heterogeneity, non-linearity, and anisotropy. I am also interested in the geomechanics of shales and in modelling fluid flow and transport processes in porous and fractured media. In my research, I use both numerical simulations and theoretical methods, and I always greatly enjoy fieldwork. I am also involved in developing and optimizing numerical codes.
