Prospective minerals resources of Poland

The balance of prospective minerals resources of Poland is a monographic elaboration, in which Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute, fulfilling the tasks of the state geological survey, presents the complex information on potential mineral raw materials resources base of the country.

The ongoing updating of the prospective resources is necessary due to the constant progress of the geological structure of Poland studies. It is also crucial for assurance of the domestic raw materials security and for planning the economic raw materials strategy of the country. The knowledge on prospective resources allows to rationally manage the country’s space, protect the areas of deposits occurrence and plan the further geological-exploring activities. To ensure the domestic raw materials security, there have to be done some important activities: the ongoing and systematic information collection on the resources base at the every stage of their recognition and exploring. Minerals resources, pointed even at the lowest degree of data credibility regarding their volumes, should be verified and valorize.
