ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY
Our laboratory is accredited by the Polish Centre for Accreditation. Every year we carry out over 200 000 analyses of nearly 35 000 samples of soil, water and sediments.

GEOPHYSICS
We undertake comprehensive interpretations of geophysical data, which plays an important role in recognising the geological structure of Poland, identification of mineral resources as well as environmental protection.

ENGINEERING GEOLOGY
We carry out geological testing of soil and ground surface for the purpose of reliable expert assessments and technical documentations defining safe localisations for large infrastructure projects.

MARINE GEOLOGY
We undertake detailed studies of a geological structure of the bottom of the Baltic Sea and its coastal areas as well as geodynamic processes that occur at the point of contact between land and sea.

PETROLEUM GEOLOGY
We undertake comprehensive studies that define directions for oil and gas prospecting and extraction in Poland.

GEOTOURISM
We advise how geology can be used to raise touristic attractiveness of a region. Together with local administration we create geological sites, nature and geological trails as well as geo-parks.

CARTOGRAPHY
We compile digital geological, geo-environmental and hydrogeological maps. We are the head producer and coordinator of the Digital Geological Map of Poland in the scale of 1:50 000.

MICROPALEONTOLOGY AND PALYNOLOGY
We use paleontological data for interpreting stratigraphical studies, petroleum geology and paleoenvironmental studies.

MINERALOGY AND PETROGRAPHY
We offer comprehensive mineralogical and petrographic tests. We own the most advanced electron microprobe (Cameca SX100) in Europe, used for electron microscopy and chemical analysis in a micro-field.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
We provide consultancy services in the area of geohazards. Among our clients are governmental and local administration as well as companies representing private sector.

PUBLICATION
We offer comprehensive services with respect to editing of geological publications. Every year we publish over 1000 author's/publisher's sheets.

LANDSLIDES
Since 2006, we have been conducting an inventory of areas at risk of landslides in Poland (System Ochrony Przeciwosuwiskowej). The project includes monitoring of landslide areas at ground surface and in subterrain.

GEOLOGICAL INFORMATION
We gather and make geological data available to the public. We develop and continuously update the biggest geological databases in Poland (National Geological Archive and HYDRO Bank).

We carry out comprehensive hydrogeological studies aiming at prospecting, balancing and protecting national groundwater resources.
