One of the areas of focus of the Polish Geological Survey, whose tasks are performed by the Polish Geological Institute (PGI), is the Geodiversity Conservation and Geotourism Programme. Experienced specialists from the regional offices of the Institute involved in the programme across Poland carry out responsibilities related to the conservation of geodiversity in a broad sense in the country, and promote the development of geotourism.
