The IBERSIMS laboratory of the University of Granada and the Polish Geological Institute invite all scientist interested in “in situ” mass spectrometry and its applications to geosciences to participate in the VIII International SHRIMP Workshop that will be held in Granada, Spain, from 6 to 10 September 2016.

WORKSHOP TOPICS (suggestions are welcome):

• New developments and applications of the Sensitive High Resolution Ion Microprobe (SHRIMP)
• Technical issues running the SHRIMP
• Peripheral labs and methods, including sample preparation and mineral separation
• Statistical issues concerning grain selection and analyses
• Outstanding results of SHRIMP applications

WORKSHOP FIELD EXCURSION:

• Visit to the Ronda Peridotite
