In 2020, the process of putting into service the next final products of the Detailed Geological Map of Poland on a scale of 1: 50,000 was continued. In 2020, new 12 SMGP maps sheets were made available, therefore, currently 1062 map sheets are ready for download from the Internet.

In 2020, a further 10 explanatory texts for the SMGP sheets were also made available on the Internet and now a total of 1031 are available.

SMGP borehole short description

The map sheets contain borehole short descriptions, presenting information obtained from drillings made in the sheet. Sometimes there is not enough space for them due to a large amount of information. For such cases, in 2020, was launched the possibility of downloading borehole short descriptions as an additional PNG graphic files.

Access to scans, explanatory texts and diagrams of the boreholes of individual sheets is possible, among others, with the GeoLOG application. After selecting the information layer "Index SMGP" and selecting the sheets, users are redirected to the application that provides source data (described in the previous bulletin). No additional permissions are needed to download scans and text on map sheets.
