bilans zasobow 2014 minPolish Geological Institute published the Assessment of Poland's mineral resources as of 31 December 2014, a summary of Poland's mineral deposits. As of end 2014 there were 13 410 proven mineral deposits across Poland. The latest issue of the “Assessment...” is available on-line.

The Assessment of Poland's Mineral Resources has been published for the past 60 years, since 1986 continually by Polish Geological Institute. Information contained in the document serves as the basis for making important decisions regarding the development and rational use of domestic mineral resources.

The Assessment… helps to protect the deposits of mineables and is a source of information for spatial management policy makers. The collected data represent a valuable information for potential domestic and foreign investors who express interest in the development of sectors that are based on extraction and processing of mineables.

The latest Assessment... contains data on 13 410 domestic deposits of mineables. Traditionally, information about the resources is presented by kind and intended use of mineables in the form of tables that are supplemented with succinct textual descriptions.

The Assessment... was prepared solely by Polish Geological Institute as a task of National Geological Survey. Like in the past years it was published in June, in accordance with the provisions of Geological and Mining Law of 9 June 2011 (2015 Journal of Laws Item 196, unified text).

A website “Poland's mineral resources” was launched alongside the printed version. The “Assessment...” and additional information about particular groups of mineables are available in PDF format at the website.

Moreover, to meet the expectation of ever growing number of recipients, we have published regularly updated vectorial data that enable visualisation of spatial information about the deposits and mining areas/sites.
