Centralny Port Komunikacyjny – CPK) has submitted guidelines for investigating the subsoil on which the structures and railroad infrastructure of CPK Sp. z o. o., including the High-Speed Railway, are or will be located. The guidelines were prepared with the cooperation of the Polish Geological Institute - National Research Institute.

grafika ilustracyjnaThe Polish Geological Institute-NRI is an entity supervised by the Minister of Climate and Environment, who annually evaluates its finances, activities, including the implementation of the tasks of the Polish Geological Survey and the National Administrator of Underground Carbon Dioxide Storage Sites. For 2020, the Institute received a positive assessment with some objections.

During this event a record number of papers was presented and speakers from almost every corner of the world gave a thematically rich overview of the history of geosciences.

A modern high storage hall with an area of 7500 m², which will be able to store about one million linear meters of geological samples (mainly drill cores), is under construction.
