PGI-NRI develops groundwater monitoring
The Polish Geological Institute - NRI keeps track of current challenges and threats to groundwater condition and improves research, analytical and interpretation methods. Carrying out measurements and hydrogeological studies to assess the quantitative status and chemical composition of the groundwater, it regularly assesses the hydrogeological situation and forecasts its changes.
Landslide regulation on the PSG virtual forum
The new regulation of the Minister of Climate and Environment on mass movements and its consequences for the Landslide Protection System was the main topic of the 2nd Forum of the Polish Geological Survey held on the 10th of June, 2021 in Cracow, Poland.
PGI-NRI at the International Conference & Exhibition Oil-Gas-Chemistry 2021
The transformation of the oil and natural gas market was one of the main topics of the International Conference and Exhibition Oil-Gas-Chemistry 2021, which took place on the 10th of June, 2021 in Warsaw. Among the invited panelists there was an employee of our Institute - Dr. Krystian Wójcik, who participated in the session devoted to the future shape of the natural gas markets after the energy transformation.
102nd Anniversary of the Polish Geological Institute
The month of May is a special month for us. Every year we celebrate two important events in our history - the ceremonial opening of the Polish Geological Institute on May 7, 1919 and the adoption of the resolution of the Legislative Parliament establishing our institution on May 30, 1919. Traditionally, on the occasion of yet another anniversary of these events, an anniversary session was held in the building of the Geological Museum on May 31, 2021.
