The 7th Meeting of Contractors of the International Seabed Authority (ISA), organised by the Secretariat of this UN agency and the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology (KIOST), took place in Busan (Republic of South Korea) from 30 September to 2 October 2024.
International field symposium of the Peribaltic Working Group in Estonia
The regular meeting of the Peribaltic Working Group, organised under the auspices of the International Union for Quaternary Research (INQUA), took place in Pärnau and on the islands of Saaremaa and Hiiumaa (western Estonia) from 25 to 30 September 2024.

On Friday, 18 October 2024, four institutions – the Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute, the AGH University of Science and Technology, the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) and ORLEN S.A. concluded an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation, establishing the Polish Natural Hydrogen Initiative.
