The Minister of Climate and Environment has given a positive assessment of PGI-NRI's activities in 2022
On 24 August 2023, as part of her supervisory activities regarding research institutes, the Minister of Climate and Environment assessed the activities of the State Geological Institute – National Research Institute for the year 2022 positively with reservations.
CBDG has a new website
The Central Geological Database (CBDG) has launched a new website. It takes over the entire content of information about the Database, its subsystems with dedicated domain applications and the functions of the CBDG Portal in terms of access to spatial data, including map applications. The website address has not changed: https://baza.pgi.gov.pl.
Amendment to the Geological and Mining Law. Changes significant for PIG-PIB operations
On 1 September 2023, the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, signed an act on amending the Geological and Mining Law (GML) and certain other acts. The provisions of the legal act are aimed at, among others, better preservation of mineral deposits, introduce legal instruments associated with the energy and climate transition, and amend regulations governing the activities of the state geological survey (PSG).
