zaj graduation 210x140We are looking for a candidate for the doctoral programme at the GeoPlanet Doctoral School at the Polish Geological Institute - NRI. Applications for the doctoral programme can be submitted until October 10, 2023. The programme lasts 4 years (8 semesters).

You are invited to apply to the GeoPlanet Doctoral School in the 2023/2024 semester. During the course, the student attends lectures and takes part in research under the guidance of a supervisor.

Recruitment to the GeoPlanet Doctoral School is by way of an open international competition and takes place in two stages. The recruitment rules are described in detail in the Recruitment tab and in the  pdf Recruitment Regulations (105 KB)

We require all candidates to have an aptitude for research work and English language skills. A person may be admitted to the doctoral school who holds a professional degree of Master of Science, Master of Engineering or equivalent. Before applying, Candidates should select a research topic from the list of proposed thesis topics and make contact with the selected doctoral advisor or submit their own topic approved by the potential doctoral advisor.

Interview dates: October 16-20, 2023.

The school offers doctoral education in astronomy, physics, Earth and environmental sciences, socio-economic geography, spatial economics, automation, electronics and electrical engineering.

The Polish Geological Institute - PIB joined the GeoPlanet Doctoral School under an agreement dated September 7, 2022 to join the agreement on the establishment of the GeoPlanet Doctoral School concluded on January 23, 2019.
