Our expert at Nuuk seminar on EU-Greenland cooperation on investment in raw materials and renewable energy
The seminar Advancing EU-Greenland Collaboration: Investments and Innovation in Sustainable Raw Materials and Renewable Energy took place from 1-3 October 2024 in the Greenland capital, Nuuk. An employee of the PGI-NRI, Radomir Pachytel, was invited to the Business Mission Greenland 2024 project, as part of the event jointly organised by the European Commission and the Government of Greenland.

Professorial appointment for dr hab. Wiesław Trela
We are honoured to announce that dr hab. Wiesław Trela from the Świętokrzyskie Branch of the Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute has been appointed as professor of exact and natural sciences in the discipline of Earth and Environmental Sciences.
On the trail of quadrupeds among Greenland's ices
An international team of palaeontologists has returned from a month-long expedition to East Greenland, where it collected fossils of the so-called ‘four-legged fish’ - the first vertebrates that left the water, almost 400 million years ago. Dr Grzegorz Niedźwiedzki from the PGI-NRI was the leader and organiser of this expedition.
