On January 25, 2024 prof. dr hab. inż. Krzysztof Galos has taken up the position of Chief National Geologist.
Merger of the state hydrogeological survey (PSH) and the state geological survey (PGS)
From January 1, 2024, the state hydrogeological survey (PSH) and the state geological survey (PGS) will be merged.
State geological survey launches new serial geological map
In 2024, geological, hydrogeological and geoenvironmental maps at a scale of 1:50 000 will join the geological-engineering maps being produced for the whole country.
