PanLatEUGeo project proposal - cooperation between geological surveys of Europe and Latin America
An extraordinary meeting of the International Cooperation and Development Task Force of the Force EuroGeoSurveys (ICDTF EGS) took place in Madrid on 1-2 October 2019. It was organized by ICDTF leader Diana Ponce de León Gil from the Geological Survey of Spain (Instituto Geológico y Minero de España, IGME Spain) in order to give a new boost to preparation of work on a proposal of the PanLatEUGeo Project for approval of the European Commission.
New Directors of the Polish Geological Institute - NRI
On 5 October 2019, Minister of Environment Henryk Kowalczyk appointed Ph.D. Eng. Mateusz Damrat as new Director of the Polish Geological Institute - National Research Institute. New assignments were made also to other managerial positions.
Fact-finding visits of PGI-NRI experts at Swedish and Danish geological surveys
On 16-20 September 2019, representatives of the Polish Geological Institute - National Research Institute (PGI-NRI) visited the Malå branch office of the Geological Survey of Sweden (SGU) and Copenhagen offices of the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS).
