k wojcikThe transformation of the oil and natural gas market was one of the main topics of the International Conference and Exhibition Oil-Gas-Chemistry 2021, which took place on the 10th of June, 2021 in Warsaw. Among the invited panelists there was an employee of our Institute - Dr. Krystian Wójcik, who participated in the session devoted to the future shape of the natural gas markets after the energy transformation.

25The month of May is a special month for us. Every year we celebrate two important events in our history - the ceremonial opening of the Polish Geological Institute on May 7, 1919 and the adoption of the resolution of the Legislative Parliament establishing our institution on May 30, 1919. Traditionally, on the occasion of yet another anniversary of these events, an anniversary session was held in the building of the Geological Museum on May 31, 2021.

zbioroweThe construction of the Central Warehouse of Geological Samples, financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW), is underway in Leszcze, located in the Kłodawa municipality. On the 27th of May, 2021, representatives of the Fund's management and the management of the Polish Geological Institute-NRI visited the construction site of the new investment.

 

graduationWe are pleased to announce that by the resolution no. 5/V/2021 of 21 May 2021 the Scientific Council of the Polish Geological Institute-NRI unanimously conferred on Dr. Marcin Dąbrowski of the Lower Silesian Branch in Wrocław the academic degree of doctor habilitatus in the field of Exact and Natural Sciences in the discipline of Earth and Environmental Sciences.
