Dr Michał Tomczak, an employee of the Polish Geological Institute-NRI, has been elected as a member of the United Nations Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf.
Launching geological cooperation with Vietnam
On 4–11 November 2023, a delegation from the PGI-NRI attended a scientific conference in Hanoi, Vietnam, under the theme 'New Opening', related to the intensification of cooperation in the field of geology.

We encourage you to familiarise yourself with digital geological maps of Poland recently compiled by PGI-PIB in the scale 1:500,000 - a surface map (covered) and two uncovered maps - without Quaternary and Cenozoic formations.
