zaj geoThe 29th Conference of the Polish Association for Spatial Information was organized at the Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer Management at the Warsaw University of Technology on 6-7 November 2019. The theme of this year’s meeting, held under the patronage of the Chief Country Geodesist, Dr. hab. Eng. Waldemar Izdebski, was “Geoinformation in the face of civilizational challenges”. 

zaj madryt1An extraordinary meeting of the International Cooperation and Development Task Force of the Force EuroGeoSurveys (ICDTF EGS) took place in Madrid on 1-2 October 2019. It was organized by ICDTF leader Diana Ponce de León Gil from the Geological Survey of Spain (Instituto Geológico y Minero de España, IGME Spain) in order to give a new boost to preparation of work on a proposal of the PanLatEUGeo Project for approval of the European Commission.

zaj damratOn 5 October 2019, Minister of Environment Henryk Kowalczyk appointed Ph.D. Eng. Mateusz Damrat as new Director of the Polish Geological Institute - National Research Institute. New assignments were made also to other managerial positions.

wspolpraca dania szwecja3On 16-20 September 2019, representatives of the Polish Geological Institute - National Research Institute (PGI-NRI) visited the Malå branch office of the Geological Survey of Sweden (SGU) and Copenhagen offices of the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS).
