We establish geological cooperation with Mongolia
On the 15th of April, 2021, a meeting was held to establish geological cooperation between Poland and Mongolia.
Dr hab. Hubert Wierzbowski becomes professor of science and natural sciences
Polish Geological Institute-PIB has gained another professor! Following the decision of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, dated 22 March 2021, Hubert Wierzbowski, a staff member in the Department of Regional Geology, has been nominated a professor of sciences and natural sciences in the discipline of Earth and Environmental Sciences.
PGI-NRI director as one of the signatories of a Letter of Intent on the establishment of a science, technology and business hub supporting the development of heat pumps
On the 12th of April, 2021, during a conference at the Ministry of Climate and Environment, a document was signed under which a Science, Technology and Business Hub will be established in Miękinia, in the Małopolskie Voivodship to support the implementation of tasks related to the promotion, research and development, and the use of renewable energy sources, mainly in relation to heat pumps.
Cooperation between Polish and Czech Geological Survey
On March 30, 2021, an online meeting was held between the Czech Geological Survey (CGS) and the Polish Geological Institute - National Research Institute (PIG-PIB).
